On Saturday I attended Pilot Careers Live with The Air League — and it really is one of the best events around if you’re even slightly interested in becoming a pilot.

Inspiring from the stand.

Our aim on the Air League stand was simple: chat to people, share what the Air League does, and hopefully inspire a few future aviators along the way. But if I’m honest, I probably learned just as much from the people who came over to speak with us.

That’s the thing about events like this. Everyone arrives at a different stage of their journey. Some people are just starting to explore the idea of flying, others are deep into their ATPL exams, and some are weighing up which training route might suit them best. Those conversations are always interesting because everyone brings a different perspective.

Learning from others!

It was also great learning from providers and cadets in training.

Pilot Careers Live is one of those events where you seem to take away something new every time you attend. This year it was the great conversations, a few useful insights… and a surprisingly good cheesecake from BlackBushe Aviation.

A big thank you to The Air League for the opportunity to take part, and to Bristol Ground School for looking after us throughout the day.
