Taking Flight: Looking Forward to Fly to Glasgow for the Annual ACS Flight Seminar – P.1

Flights have been booked! I look forward to attending my first flight training seminar in Glasgow, Scotland.

I’m really looking forward to attending this event. As you may know I have always attended the Pilot Career Live events in Sofitel Hotel, Heathrow. When I came across this event – I thought why not attend one in Scotland this year round!

About the Flight Training exhibition

The exhibition will be taking place at the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport, Paisley, PA3 2TE. It will be a full day event running from 11am to 4pm.

Host

The event has been hosted by ACS Flight Training school – Scotland’s largest fight training academy. The parent company is called ACS Aviation – also Scotland’s largest aircraft maintenance organisation. They are based at Perth airport operating 20 aircrafts and employs 40 members of staff.

Recently, ACS aviation has announced a multi-million pound investment to renew their aircraft fleet. The new Tecnam P-mentor aircrafts will reduce carbon emissions by 60% and each student will save up to 10 tonnes of CO2 they emit from beginning to end process of receiving their Private Pilot’s license.

Who will be attending?

ACS Flight training as the host will be present. They will be accompanied by:

  • Loganair
  • BOSE Aviation
  • TUI
  • Simtech Aviation
  • Emirates
  • Flight Deck Wingman
  • Path2Pilot
  • British Woman Pilot’s Association
  • Ryanair
  • And Pooley’s.

It’ll definitely be an event to remember. So for those looking to attend – get your tickets booked!

Flights booked

My flights have been booked for the exhibition!

I will be travelling with British Airways from London Heathrow to Glasgow International Airport. It will be a short flight of 1hr 30 minutes.

The departure time is 07:35 in the morning – which means I’ll have to be at the airport for 5.30am. The return time is at 18:40 on the same day.

The times worked out really well – I’ll be getting to Glasgow 2 hours before the event begins – which will give me enough time to read a book or do some work. I’ll be leaving the same day just after the event finishes which is quite convenient.

I look forward to meeting some new faces during the event. Feel free to sign up to it if you haven’t – it’ll be a great event for sure! I’ll create a follow-up blog sharing my experience and sharing any tips & gems I’ve picked up for you.

Until then – happy flying!
